A Relentless Legal Team

Komron Jon Maknoon

Originally from Oil City, Pennsylvania, Mr. Maknoon is a 1993 graduate from Washington and Jefferson College where he majored in English. After entering the corporate world having jobs in Los Angeles and Denver, Mr. Maknoon pursued his dream to attend law school. In 2002, Mr. Maknoon received his juris doctor from Duquesne University School of Law. 

While at law school, Mr. Maknoon was a legal intern for the prestigious medical malpractice law firm of Meyers, Rosen, Louik, and Perry. Among his legal duties, Mr. Maknoon was privileged to observe numerous depositions and high-profile jury trials from beginning to end. It was at that time that Mr. Maknoon learned and became passionate about strategic case preparation, fearlessness, and the jury trial. For that, he is forever grateful from learning from the best in trial advocacy.  

In 2003, Mr. Maknoon started Maknoon & Associates, LLC in downtown Pittsburgh with a laptop, a cell phone, and the passion to become the best trial lawyer. Mr. Maknoon credits his success in criminal defense as a result of his clients. In the early years, the old heads as he refers to them as, educated him on the system and the code of loyalty. To this day, Mr. Maknoon remains in contact with his original clients whether to just check in or continue representation. He is forever grateful.

Starting from 2003, Mr. Maknoon has particiated as sole or lead counsel in excess of 50 jury trials across numerous counties in Western Pennsylvania, in addition to federal trials held in the Western District of Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.

Stephanie A. Shriver

Ms. Shriver was raised on a small farm in Western Maryland. As a young adult, Ms. Shriver moved to Pittsburgh, and made it her home. Ms. Shriver is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her degree in Political Science. After attending the University of Pittsburgh, she attended Duquesne University School of Law.

Stephanie A. Shriver

During law school, Ms. Shriver was fortunate enough to work as a legal extern for Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Alexander Bicket. After concluding her externship, Ms. Shriver gained valuable experience in the field of criminal law by serving as a clerk at Worgul, Sarna and Ness. This clerkship played a significant role in furthering her education and expertise in the practice of criminal law. Upon graduation from Duquesne University School of Law, and passage of the Pennsylvania Bar, Ms. Shriver worked for the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office for over two years. During her time as a prosecutor, Ms. Shriver prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from Driving Under the Influence to Aggravated Assault cases. Additionally, Ms. Shriver is actively involved in local politics.

Ms. Shriver joined Maknoon and Associates in 2022 due to its reputation for zelously fighting cases and knowledge of the law and procedure. She has since represented clients in both federal and state court in Pennsylvania.
