A Relentless Legal Team
Komron Jon Maknoon
Originally from Oil City, Pennsylvania, Mr. Maknoon is a 1993 graduate from Washington and Jefferson College where he majored in English. After entering the corporate world having jobs in Los Angeles and Denver, Mr. Maknoon pursued his dream to attend law school. In 2002, Mr. Maknoon received his juris doctor from Duquesne University School of Law.
While at law school, Mr. Maknoon was a legal intern for the prestigious medical malpractice law firm of Meyers, Rosen, Louik, and Perry. Among his legal duties, Mr. Maknoon was privileged to observe numerous depositions and high-profile jury trials from beginning to end. It was at that time that Mr. Maknoon learned and became passionate about strategic case preparation, fearlessness, and the jury trial. For that, he is forever grateful from learning from the best in trial advocacy.
In 2003, Mr. Maknoon started Maknoon & Associates, LLC in downtown Pittsburgh with a laptop, a cell phone, and the passion to become the best trial lawyer. Mr. Maknoon credits his success in criminal defense as a result of his clients. In the early years, the old heads as he refers to them as, educated him on the system, the code of loyalty, life, the importance of staying in tune with the streets, and in many cases the law. To this day, Mr. Maknoon remains in contact with his original clients whether to just check in or continue representation. He is forever grateful.

Jason Elliot Nard, Of Counsel
Jason is a Pittsburgh native who developed a passion for the law after taking a class offered at his high school. Although he saw what his calling in life was at an early age, Jason spent his early and mid-twenties as a card holding union member in Iron Workers, Local 527. In his later twenties and early thirties, he worked for two Pittsburgh companies that built and revamped steel mills as part of the scheduling and project management team.
In 2000, Jason began to realize his dream of becoming a lawyer by enrolling in Duquesne University School of Law. Despite a demanding career in the engineering and industrial construction field, Jason’s passion for the law lead him to excel in his academic endeavors. While at Duquesne he was on the editorial board of the Duquesne Law Review, Participated in Moot Court and Alternative Dispute Resolution competition, and co-founded the Animal Law Society.
Upon his graduation and admittance to the Pennsylvania Bar, Jason immediately chose to go directly into private practice knowing that he could make more of a difference there than working as an associate at a law firm. While Jason’s practice focused on all aspects of state criminal defense and trial work he also aided many individuals in civil disputes, corporate matters, landlord-tenant, estate planning and administration, and condominium association related matters.
In 2018, Jason decided to work with Maknoon & Associates as he and long-time colleague Komron Maknoon shared the same vision for a client driven practice of the law.
